Up for sale today is this Virginia interstate 64 route sign.
Made to the exact 1957 standard from the origins of the Eisenhower interstate highway system.  this design was supplanted by the modern shield style - often with the state name omitted! - in 1971, and it gets harder and harder to find the original-style interstate route markers in many states.
This sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts.  It weighs about 27 pounds, 14 ounces, and is 36 by 36 inches, the largest of three sizes specified in the original 1957 signage manual (the other sizes are 18" and 24").  it is a non-reflective sign - perfect for ordinary display, indoors or outdoors.
