Vintage Salt Cellars Japanese Fine Porcelain Gold

You are considering a set of four extraordinary salt cellars.  The unmarked translucent china from which they are made is egg-shell thin.  There are no chips or cracks at all, and the handpainted decorations, paint, and gold are perfect.  I believe these would be used on an
elegant dining table
as salt cellars, however, they could also be used with a
sushi setting
as dipping bowls.  Either way they are very beautiful and delicate.  It appears that each one came in it's own satin-fitted box.  There is only one box with this set.  The outside is red satin with gold embroidered design.  The inside is cusioned with pink satin.   Bowl Dimensions:  2" diameter x 1-1/8" high.
