Rampling, nineteen at the time, was in Cannes to help promote the 1965 Richard Lester directed comedy "The Knack ... and How to Get It." Rampling was also photographed, the same day, on the water with male lead Ray Brooks. Rampling, Jane Birkin, and Jacqueline Bisset all made their screen debuts as extras in the film.
