    Description

New Jersey Atlantic City Expressway route marker.
Up for sale today is this Atlantic City Expressway route sign. Made to the exact state standard, as used to the present day.  the Atlantic City Expressway, built between 1962 and 1965, was the last of the three major named toll roads built in New Jersey, after the NJ Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway.
An original of these is very rare to find scrapped; most of them enjoy their active service on the highway and the side streets.  So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without chancing legal trouble.
The sign is flat with completely accurate layout and fonts.  It weighs about 11 pounds, 10 ounces, and is 24 by 24 inches - the correct modern size for approaches to the freeway itself.
This is a high quality, heavy steel sign.  Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!
I can of course make these signs with
any route number of your choice,
and not just this style, but others with the reflectors, the embossed style that other states used, and even the classic mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from the era. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A.
