For this listing we offer one (1) vintage original 1960's KTM In-Line Slot Car Motor 5 Pole Armature 12 Volt New in original box.
KTM (Kemtron Mini Auto Motors) Part # DH 15 is a Slot Racer Special Hi-Speed, Hi-Torque In-Line Motor.  New Old Stock.
Measurements (size):  5/8" X 3/4" X 1 7/8"
Armature Shaft size:  2.3mm (0.093") 3/32" Diameter Motor Shaft with NO Tooth Pinion.
NOTE:  These motors have been sitting for years and the felt wick needs to be lubricated with a light motor oil and let sit for a few days to work properly.
Felt oil wicks provided for adequate lubrication. Please note: Please oil and let stand for a dew days to work best.
Self-aligning oil impregnated bronze front armature bearing.
This KTM  DH 15, 12 volts & 8 volts same as Pittman DC 70  and similar in-line style motors.
This Great Motor will furnish reliable power under light loads for extended periods.
Features:  Armco Iron Pole Pieces,  Rust proofed,  with Alnico #6 Magnets.  Five Pole (slot) Armature  0.092" is ground to diameter of 5/8".  Commutator is nylon insulated and is ground true after assembly.  The front bearing is a Spherical Self-aligning oil impregnated bronze front armature bearing.  Felt oil wicks provided for adequate lubrication.  Brush tips are copper graphite and brushes are very easily replaced.  Offers 2 threaded mounting holes, 4:40 threaded top and bottom with 1 mounting screw included.  Standard windings for 12 Volt D. C. 14,000 RPM.
Motors with a mounting screw from the factory screwed in top, comes with windings for 12 volts DC,  Motors with factory mounting screw mounted in the bottom have 8 volts DC windings.
This motor was renown for great smooth power in a very compact package. Very impressive technology for the time
