White Plains and New York state highway sign.Up for sale today is this New York state highway sign, with destinations of Eastview, Tarrytown, White Plains and New York City. Made to the exact 1922 standard used by the state into the 1940s. a very very rare handful of these NY State Highway signs are still around in service, including one very similar to this on the back roads of the Sleepy Hollow area.
This sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and is 21 by 14 inches, scaled down accurately for more wieldy display from the originals which are 36 by 24 inches. It is a non-reflective sign - perfect for ordinary display, indoors or outdoors.
