Description
City of Chicago Department of Sanitation "A" frame street cleaning signs. These signs were used from the 1940's - 1960's. Each sign has a changeable slide indicating what day of the week the street sweepers would be coming through. Sturdy metal shows typical wear, but no major rust spots or weak areas. Prior to the now used cardboard tied to trees and light poles, there were a staple all over the City. These could never be used today as they would be borrowed or removed within hours of being put into place. Chicago Department of Sanitation had three different version of the "A" frame notices, the City of Chicago baby blue and orange shown, as well as a yellow with red lettering. Selling as a pair with the hopes that someone has the third and could display the full set. I have searched and searched for the yellow and red, with no luck. Although not exceedingly heavy, local pickup would most likely be the best. I am always willing to work on shipping or delivery with a buyer. If shipped, all shipping costs will be paid for by the winning bidder. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. Thank you very much and have a grand day!
